Limited Edition Glitter by Sinful Colors

Today while at Target I stumbled across three Limited Edition Sinful Colors Glitters!! I purchased them for $1.99 each.

The names are adorable: Listed left to right: Thats Elfed Up!, Sleigh My Name (Coffee shops do this often) and Santa Claws. Sinful Colors Glitter polishes are always on point and the right price which is why they are one of my favorite.

For the swatches I brushed on the first coat and sponged on the second, all have a top coat.

Santa Claws is a gold shimmer base with mixed sizes of hex glitter in both red and white.

Sleigh My Name is holographic base with mixed gold hex glitter and white stars, you will need to dig for the stars.

That’s Elfed Up! is a clear base with larger red and off white hex glitter with smaller round white and green glitter.

If you see these purchase them for yourself and to gift!

New L’Oreal Chateau Royale By Coloure Riche

While at Bed Bath & Beyond I spotted a new Display from L’Oreal called L’Oreal Chateau Royale By Coloure Riche, a wine inspired collection, the display states: Escape to Bordeaux in 7 vintage shades. In my opinion the shades and the names couldn’t be more perfect.

There are seven shades: (left to right in display photo)  Vineyard Blush, Wine Spriter, High spirits, Pinot Purple, Wicked Wine, Sangria Spalsh and, Pass the Vino.

Display

I purchased four of the seven, which retail for $4.99 each, I did not have my Bed Bath & Beyond coupon with me or I would have purchased all seven.

The three I did not purchase:

Vineyard Blush- a very pale pink

Sangria Splash

Pass the Vino

The four I purchased: All have two coats and go on smooth, Wicked Wine and Pinot Purple stain so be sure to wear a base coat and, watch around the cuticles! I would recommend any from this collection.

Sinful Colors Professional Truly Madly Sparkly

While at my local Walgreens I spotted two new Sinful Colors Professional displays, one called OH SNAP! Which featured “Runway Colors, With a Vintage Flair” the other called TRULY MADLY SPARKLY, a display that was a combination of jelly hex glitter combos and, micro shimmers that almost look metallic. I purchased six of the eight on the TRULY MADLY SPAKLE display for $0.99 each. The cap of the jelly glitters have a sticker that say Sinful Colors LIMITED TIME BLING IT ON.

It’s been a while since I made a Sinful Colors purchase and this is only because they haven’t had anything I wanted but, these I had to purchase!

The shades purchased are Interstellar, Startlet Fever, Hit the Dance Floor, Snow and Teal, Teal Midnight and, Palm Breezy (micro shimmer).

I LOVE this collection! My favorites are Hit the Dance Floor and, Interstellar, but serious buy them all because these Jellys are not goopy and, go on so smooth, each brush stroke is full of different size smaller hex glitter that is evenly distributed on the nail, the Jellys take three coats. The micro shimmer goes on smooth and will take two coats.

NYC Strip Me OFF Base Coat

NYC sent me this product to review! I am a huge fan of the NYC Quick Dry Top Coat so when I heard they came out with the Strip Me Off Base Coat I just had to try it!!

The Strip Me Off Base Coat is for easy removal of a manicure including glitter using no nail polish remover. The product goes on white but dries quick and transparent.

Since this product intrigued me I wanted to test it with several different types and brands of polish on both manicures and a pedicure. I was impressed when a cream polish came right off with no residue, I then tested a glitter polish on a manicure I wore for five days, I had no chips and when I went to peel it off the glitter came off very easily, I actually did this in front of two coworkers who didn’t believe but wanted to, they were so impressed with the removal of the glitter polish they sat there stunned. I then tried this on my pedicure with PixieDust gasp I used a base coat with PixieDust!!  The pedicure wore for over a week and came right off when I gently peeled the polish away!

For those that follow me on Instagram: coolpolishblog, Facebook or Twitter: Cool Polish then you know how much I ADORE glitter polish, with that being said go out and purchase this base coat, it retails for $1.99 and can be found at most drugstores. This product is a fraction of the cost compared to OPI Glitter Off Pealable Base which retails for $9.00 and is owned by the same company!

Pure Ice New Hue Collection

Pure Ice™ sent me the New Hue Collection which is eight new shades, that includes three color tints with glitter, and a matte top coat, this collection is sure to add a little bit of grit, and lots of glam to your nail collection.

The collection has eight shades: Doll Face – a soft crème peach, Flawless – a frosted light gold with a metallic finish, Poppin’ Bottles – silver pearl with silver hex glitter and a gold iridescent finish, What’s the Splatter clear with white and black hex glitter, Blue Hue – blue glitter hint, Pure Haze – purple glitter hint, Rosy Glow – pink glitter hint, Frost Finish – mattifying top coat.

I will do a separate blog with the three color tints and matte top coat.

This collection can be purchased at Walmart for $1.97 per bottle.

I already use Black Out and other Pure Ice shades for stamping so it is nice to add Flawless to the can stamp list.

Each swatch has two coats, the formula Doll Face was much better than I anticipated, however this isn’t my favorite shade of the collection. Flawless is just okay, I’m a little over frosted metallics, but if you are looking for one at an affordable price then this shade is for you.

My favorite is Poppin Bottles, this is a must purchase shade. I absolutely love this shade for several reasons: it’s so easy to apply, has glitter, sparkles like a glass of champagne, it is a fantastic silver pearl with a gold iridescent finish, and it nice to stamp on.

When I receive product to review it is typically test worn, these polishes held up to my test of a daily morning workout, daily office environment, and dish duty at home. I wore Poppin Bottles for five days and never received a chip.

Sinful Colors Spring 2015 Love Sprinkles and Shamrockin!

Spotted at Walgreens two new displays by Sinful Colors, Flirt With Hearts and Kiss Me I’m Stylish! Both of these displays only have one new shade from previous years, and they are both a glitter top coat. In the new larger end cap display there were several new shades, I purchased a few of the new shades along with the two seasonal top coats.

In the Flirt With Hearts display there is a top coat called Love Sprinkles, this is a clear based top coat with a mix of small and medium white and light pink hex glitter and larger white hearts.

In the Kiss Me I’m Stylish display you will find green ocean, Innocent, Snow Me White, Mint Apple, All About You, Happy Ending, Pisctachio, and the new top coat Shamrockin. Shamrockin is a clear base with small and medium hex glitter in white and light green with larger white flowers.

A few ransom new shades on the end cap are Copper Pot, Rose Dust, and Beaches and Cream. I purchased all of these, Beaches and Creams is a pale yellow shade that is just a terrible polish, it is goopy and it streaks with lumps, it should be pulled from the shelves!

I would recommend purchasing all four of the below swatches.

Love Sprinkles-goes on thick and you’ll need to dig for hearts.

Shamrockin- goes on thick and you’ll need to dig for the flowers, I’m still confused why they aren’t shamrocks.

Copper Pot- a nice copper shade with shimmer, this is two coats.

Rose Dust- a light purple with shimmer, this is a thick polish and a one coat completes the look.

L’Oreal Dark Sides of Grey by Colour Riche Collection!

Spotted at Bed Bath & Beyond is a new Polish Collection by L’Oreal, this collection is a mix of creams, foil, glitter textures and a holographic polish. Each bottle retails for $4.99.

Creams: Aux Chandelles, Grey Corset.

Textures: Caution Please, Totally D’Accord, Bad Boy Grey, Power Potion.

Holographic: Masked Affair

Foil: Miss Grey.

I purchased three of the textures, the foil, and the holo! The textures are packed full of glitter and look a little darker on the nail then the bottle, each swatch has two coats. The texture is slightly smoother than most textured, but if you can not stand texture polish skip these four and go straight for the holo and foil!

The swatches were photographed outside.

Display

Bad Bad Grey- black based polish with tons of silver glitter

Caution Please-silver base with silver glitter, could have used three coats

Totally D’Accord- my favorite shade out of the textures- a dark green/blue base with silver and darker glitter mix, this looks way better in person
Masked Affair- typical holo with more lavender in it, if you need a holo get this!
Miss Grey- love love love this shade
