Sally Hansen Fall 2014 Runway Collection-New York Fashion Week

While at Bed Bath & Beyond recently I stumbled across a display of Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure polish, at first I thought this was from the spring 2014 Runway Collection but as I looked closer I noticed the shades were different from the spring collection. A quick Google search came up with nothing so I think its safe to say this is a new launch. The new Display is a Limited Edition display called Runway Collection New York Fashion Week.

Display-also has nail files and Salon effects Nail Stickers.

It appears that there are fifteen shades in this collection: Glam Sequins: Five glitter top coats, Fall Pastels: Five light creams, and Dark Romance: Five darker shades some with shimmer.

In the display the shades are” left corner from left to right: Fall Pastels: Himalaya, In The Flesh, Cute-ture,Moulin Rose and Rhododendron, Front shades Dark Romance: from left to right: On the Mango, Somber Bliss, Ever Green, Dark Knight, and Ruper Red. Shades in right back from left to right Glam Sequins: Chile Flakes, Golden Rush, Vintage Confetti, Pink Dream, and Shattered Stars.

I purchased Pink Dream, this is a one coat on top of The new Matte Royal Shyness see review here.

The Evening Opulence Collection by Gucci Westman Revlon 2013

Evening Opulence Collection by Gucci Westman was launched by Revlon in the early fall. The polishes are available in four colors, Rich, Elusive, Divine, and Seductive; all colors are a deep jewel tone that offers the perfect addition to any fall outfit! Revlon sent me the four polishes for review. I have already reviewed Elusive here but will discuss it on this blog as well.

The four polishes in this collection are dark which I typically stay away from, however these polishes were better then I expected. Divine and Seductive can be used for stamping, see mermaid nails here.

Be sure to follow on Instagram @ coolpolishblog and Facebook.

Rich: Has a grey jelly base with gold micro glitter with slight halo. This swatch has two coats and no top coat.

Elusive: This polish is a black jelly packed with teal glitter and multisized hex that dries as a matte. The swatch has two coats. If you were to add a glossy top coat then this would resemble Mermaids Tale by Sally Hansen.

Divine: A black base mixed with a deep crimson red with a gold micro glitter to add a little holiday shimmer, this swatch has two coats.
Seductive: A pleasant surprise outside the bottle! This is a deep purple jelly polish with 2 coats.

Revlon Parfumerie Wintermint Polish- New Scented Polish

I purchased one of the new Revlon Parfumerie polishes from Bed Bath and Beyond, the polish I picked up is called Wintermint. It is a nice mint green with a glitter sparkle and small hex glitter. This polish does smell of mint right from the bottle and one the nails after it dries! Since this is a glitter polish it does not dry smooth like a normal polish, this polish does not catch and is not a textured polish.

The bottles in this collection are super cute and are shaped like a square perfume bottle; the bottle size is .4 fluid ounces.

This polish collection has been appearing in retailers, and it seems like this collection may be a new permanent fixture. If you like glitter and scented polish then I highly recommend you pick a few of these gems up; there are multiple scent collections and colors to choose from!

Pure Ice Heartbreaker!

I purchased this polish about one month ago while at Walmart. I seriously thought this would be a jelly but it is not, this polish is a shimmer top coat! I was a little heartbroken because I wanted a teal jelly but after the results on the black polish my heart was whole again!

I did two swatches one with a black and one white polish.

Be sure to follow on Facebook and instagram @coolpolishblog!

For the white base, the pinkie and middle finger have four coats of Heartbreaker, the ring finger one and the pointer finger two.

For the black base each finger has one coat of Heartbreaker and I am totally in LOVE with this combo!

Here are the remaining four glitters from the Xtreme Wear Rent the Runway Fall 2013 Collection. I LOVE this collection it is so fun and festive!

All four of these swatches are a clear base so I used a base color to enhance the fantastic glitter blasts!

Strobe Flash-multi sized hex glitter in black and white with black bar glitter.

Silver Streamers-multi sized hex glitter in silver and black with black bar glitter.

Frazzle Dazzle-multi sized hex glitter in light copper and copper with black bar glitter.

Deal of the week!

For those of you looking to get a good deal on polish this week be sure to check out Wet n Wild at Walgreens which is on sale for .99 cents through Saturday. I picked up six colors from the Megalast collection.

The usual price at Walgreens is $1.99 so 50% off is pretty nice. The collection has a Pro Brush called ManiCurve. I am not a fan of this brush even though the polish goes on fast and smooth there is just something that annoys me about this brush. I was very disappointed with one of the brushes as it was cut in a weird angle like the machine went haywire in the factory. I typically look at the brushes really well before buying any polish so shame on me for not catching it.

The six colors I picked up are: I Need a Refresh-Mint, Disturbia, Toxic Apple, Through the Grapevine, Break the Ice and White and Stormy. White and Stormy is a clear halo glitter that I used as an accent top coat. All colors swatches have a base coat and two coats of color.

Don’t forget to follow on Facebook and instagram at coolpolishblog.
