Limited Edition Glitter by Sinful Colors

Today while at Target I stumbled across three Limited Edition Sinful Colors Glitters!! I purchased them for $1.99 each.

The names are adorable: Listed left to right: Thats Elfed Up!, Sleigh My Name (Coffee shops do this often) and Santa Claws. Sinful Colors Glitter polishes are always on point and the right price which is why they are one of my favorite.

For the swatches I brushed on the first coat and sponged on the second, all have a top coat.

Santa Claws is a gold shimmer base with mixed sizes of hex glitter in both red and white.

Sleigh My Name is holographic base with mixed gold hex glitter and white stars, you will need to dig for the stars.

That’s Elfed Up! is a clear base with larger red and off white hex glitter with smaller round white and green glitter.

If you see these purchase them for yourself and to gift!

New L’Oreal Chateau Royale By Coloure Riche

While at Bed Bath & Beyond I spotted a new Display from L’Oreal called L’Oreal Chateau Royale By Coloure Riche, a wine inspired collection, the display states: Escape to Bordeaux in 7 vintage shades. In my opinion the shades and the names couldn’t be more perfect.

There are seven shades: (left to right in display photo)  Vineyard Blush, Wine Spriter, High spirits, Pinot Purple, Wicked Wine, Sangria Spalsh and, Pass the Vino.

I purchased four of the seven, which retail for $4.99 each, I did not have my Bed Bath & Beyond coupon with me or I would have purchased all seven.

The three I did not purchase:

Vineyard Blush- a very pale pink

Sangria Splash

Pass the Vino

The four I purchased: All have two coats and go on smooth, Wicked Wine and Pinot Purple stain so be sure to wear a base coat and, watch around the cuticles! I would recommend any from this collection.

Wicked Wine

Valentine’s Day Mini Mani Monday

For the spirit of Valentine’s Day I created this heart Mini Mani Monday! I used mini Sephora by OPI polishes and Mash Stamp #30.

On the pinkie and pointer finger I used a lovely red glitter, for the two center fingers I used a pale pink. On the middle finger I added a red and purple glitter accent line, then stamped the ring finger and the middle finger with a purple mini polish.

Love is in the air Mani!

Maybelline Color Show Nighttime Noise Street Art Polish!

While at my local CVS this week I purchased the newly launched Street Art polish by Maybelline called Nighttime Noise. Blue is in my top five favorite colors however I very rarely wear it as a polish, so I was pleasantly surprised to find this blue glitter bomb.

For the swatch I used one coat on two fingers and two coats on the others. This polish is a clear base with a mix of blue and black multi sized hex glitter and blue bar glitter, the polish goes on smooth and looks great over white polish.

Revlon Graffiti Top Coat!

Last weekend I Purchased the two new Graffiti Top Coats by Revlon at Walgreens. I’ve always been a fan of Revlon but these two top coats are amazing and they make me love Revlon even more!

If you are looking for Graffiti on your nails then these are a MUST buy. Although similar to the Maybelline Clearly Spotted and Sally Hansen’s Xtreme Wear Rosey Shooter and Strobe Flash, you will find that they are slightly different. If you follow me and read my blog you know that I am also a huge fan of Sally Hansen and just like Revlon have been for a very long time. There are differences in the polishes such as the reds are slightly different and Sally Hansen has more white hex glitter in both versus Revlon which is packed, I mean packed full of glitter graffiti goodness!

Revlon’s Red Graffiti Top Coat is jam packed with red and white hex glitter is all sizes, it also has white bar glitter.

Revlon’s Black Graffiti Top Coat is also jam packed but with black and white hex glitter and black bar glitter.

The Graffiti Top Coats goes on smooth even thought the brush is loaded up with the glitter goodness. In my swatches I have only one coat, yes just one, how amazing! Unlike many other glitter polishes which brings the glitter closer to the tips as you apply this top coat actually spreads the glitter out equally on the nail.

Thank you Revlon for perfecting the hex glitter top coat!

OPI Push and Shove Duet Pack Chrome Polish!

I purchased the OPI Push and Shove Duet Pack from Sally’s Beauty Supply for $8.99. This is a chrome polish that is part of the Gwen Stefani Love. Angel. Music. Baby Collection.

The Polish is full size and is paired with a small bottle of Lay Down that Base, which is a base coat. It will take two coats to get a nice smooth look with this polish, which is a mirror finish and hard to capture witht he camera.

I like this polish however be warned that it will show each flaw on every claw, so be sure to buff before you apply the polish.

Once the polish was completely dry I used OPI Black Satin to stamp on a design.

Valentine’s Day Nails with Orly & Elf Polish!

Today’s Mini Mini Monday was created with Orly La Vida Loca as the base color then stamped using Winstonia stamp plate W102, and Elf Sea Scape. Since I limited myself to mini polishes I had a hard time locating a mini in my collection which worked with the stamp so it’s a gothic Valentine’s day look!

Wet n Wild Beauty Benefits Nail Polish

Last weekend I ran into my local Dollar Store to pick up some Reynolds Wrappers, I use these under my paper towel when painting my nails; they also come in handy with glitter removal and placing polish on it for nail art. While at the Dollar Store I spotted a bin of Wet n Wild Beauty Benefits nail polish!

I purchased seven bottles, three of which are jellies; all of the polishes have glitter in them either in the form of micro or small. There is one thing which threw me off and that was that none of the polishes have a name, so with my swatches I gave them a name.

This polish has a small brush, goes on quick and dries faster than expected!

Purple Passion-fools you with the look of the bottle but this polish is indeed a jelly!
purple passion

Marmalade-a jelly that is orange and has tons of glitter.

Cream Orange-also a jelly very much like Marmalade however…..it is creamier jelly and has less glitter.

Marmalade and Cream Orange look very similar on the nail but different in the bottle here is a side by side with Marmalade on the left and Cream Orange on the right.

Dolphin-this is a fun gray which sparkles from micro glitter, it reminds me of dolphins swimming in the Gulf. dolphin

Seas Salt-is a grayish green with micro glitter.
sea salt

Loyal Blue-very dark blue with micro glitter.

Salamander-deep orange with small glitter.

Mini Mani Monday NYX Style

Ok so I know I haven’t been the best at posting my Mini Mani Monday blogs, which are about creating manicures with mini bottles of polish. I have been working on my Masters Degree and thankfully only have three classes left, on top of that I do work a full time job plus try to have a life so blogging will sometimes suffer, however my goal for 2014 is to be more proactive on my Mini Mani Monday blogs.

This weeks Mini Mani Monday is inspired by a homemade thank you card I received from a close friend. To create this look I used three mini polishes from the NYX Decadent Delights NPSET06 which I purchased at Ulta.

The three colors are Bone White (base color) Smooth Operator (stamping) and Shimmery Pink (flowers). For the stamp I used Mash Plate #45, the flowers were created with a dotting tool, and then I used some nail rhinestones from Claire’s to replicate the center of the flower on the card.

I was pleased with how this Mini Mani came out and hope you are too! If you create a Mini Mani Monday please tag me on Instagram or share them on my Facebook page so I can see them.
